Adobe Voice is a new video app for iPad for creating illustrated stories.

LOS ANGELES — Can you tell a good story with Powerpoint? Or could you do better?

Adobe thinks improvements are in store. It is launching Adobe Voice, a new video app for the iPad that marries text, video and audio to create stories that can be shared online.

Adobe is aiming the free app toward business owners who want to talk about what they do, without having to hire a video crew.

The app is completely self-service.

Adobe Voice "breathes new life into static presentation formats by including a user's voice and leveraging Adobe's award-winning technology," the company said, in a press release.

Adobe says the app includes:

— Example videos to get people started.

— Free graphics, with a library of 25,000 icons and photos and music. (You can also import your own images and music to work in the app.)

The new app is available at the iTunes App Store.
